Ive never been here before. Truely, Ive never been to the midwest/heartlands. It’s pretty. Rolling hills. for some reason I thought it would be flat.

My mom and I fearlessly drove 15ish hours straight. no big deal. We woke up at 2:45AM. no big deal. And as we passed Dallas, we searched the feeders for Starbucks to quinch our need for coffee. Unsuccessful. So we ended uo stopping at *GASP* McDonalds. I dont think Ive bought anything from there in years. Years. Why? Well I always tell people that its because McDonalds will do anything to make money and probably their meat is grown in test tubes. Also It’s not good for you. But I had an epiffany today while trudging up to the welcoming arches. I love Whataburger. and Sonic. How are those places any different than McD’s? I’ve been being a tad hypocritical about fast food. So I said, Shannon, You need to get off your high horse and be OK with getting coffee here because if it was Dairy Queen you would be devouring your chocolate extreme blizzard, not caring about the Ma and Pa ice cream store it put out of bussiness down the street. Suck it up and be a consumer. But I dont wanna.
